چکیده
Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a new pest on maize that has successfully spread to various regions in Indonesia. This can cause severe damage the affected plants. Most farmers have relied synthetic insecticides for control. research was conducted determine susceptibility level of S. larvae emamectin benzoate, chlorantraniliprole, and spinetoram by using diet-dipping method. There no registered insecticide control frugiperda, so three types used were based recommendation Ministry Agriculture Republic Five field-collected population from Central Java laboratory populations develop baseline each insecticide. First instar placed vials containing artificial diet treated with an untreated (treated water only), observed mortality seventh day data analyzed probit. Tegowanu most susceptible benzoate (LC50 = 0.11 mg/L), while least Wedi 0.39 mg/L) resistance ratio (RR) values 0.45-folds 1.60-folds compared population, respectively. Ngombol chlorantraniliprole 12.63 30.29 RR 0.90- 2.15-fold Meanwhile, Jogonalan 2.75 5.94 0.52- 1.12-fold population. Field-collected still tested being toxic chlorantraniliprole.

Use of serological techniques for determination of Spodoptera frugiperda(J E Smith) predators (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae).
Spodoptera frugiperda (J E Smith) is an important pest of several crops, but especially on maize in Brazil. The implementation of biological control measures hinges on the identification of its predators and other natural enemies. As a means of identifying predators, antibodies against S. frugiperda eggs were generated by inoculating rabbits with macerated S. frugiperda eggs, and the production...
متن کاملLarval and pupal stage of Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in sweet and field corn genotypes.
Spodoptera frugiperda, the fall armyworm, is a very significant polyphagous pest due to the damages it causes, and control difficulties. Lack of information about its impact on sweet corn motivated a comparison of its biology, with respect to the larval and pupal stages, among the genotypes ELISA, BR 400 (sweet corns), and BR PAMPA (field corn). In laboratory conditions (25 +/- 1 masculine C; 7...
متن کاملComparative Effectiveness of Potential Elicitors of Plant Resistance against Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in Four Crop Plants
Feeding by insect herbivores activates plant signaling pathways, resulting in the enhanced production of secondary metabolites and other resistance-related traits by injured plants. These traits can reduce insect fitness, deter feeding, and attract beneficial insects. Organic and inorganic chemicals applied as a foliar spray, seed treatment, or soil drench can activate these plant responses. Az...

The fall army worm Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith) is a migratory important pest of corn, sorghum, rice, grass and bermudagrass in North and South America. This species has diverged into two genetically differentiated but morphologically identical strains, "the rice" and "the corn". They have been analyzed by sequencing the genes cytochrome oxydase I, II and ITS1 from populations from the United ...

The fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda is a prime noctuid pest of maize on the American continents where it has remained confined despite occasional interceptions by European quarantine services in recent years. The pest has currently become a new invasive species in West and Central Africa where outbreaks were recorded for the first time in early 2016. The presence of at least two distinct ha...
